Some time ago the Church received information from Presbytery about an opportunity to take part in a “Learning Community” with other churches in the new presbytery. This is being hosted by “Cairn movement” which is working alongside the Church of Scotland.
One of the great things about this being done in our Presbytery is that the focus will be on Rural situations which will reflect our communities and cultures.
Cairn has been established to encourage different types and styles of Missional activity to help our churches to turn round from decline to active growth – to bring the Kingdom of God into more people’s reach.
The Cairn website can be found here
Our Minister has known Cairn for a number of years and they have worked with other Church of Scotland presbyteries and churches throughout Scotland.
Below is a short video introduction to Cairn by the current Director, Rev Alan McWilliam.
